What to expect at your initial appointment?

Your initial gynaecology appointment will be a 40 minute consultation.  If required a pelvic examination will be performed on the day also. 

What should I bring to my initial appointment?

Please bring along your GP referral, your medicare card and your private health insurance details.

If you have had any blood tests, urine tests or ultrasounds with your GP prior to this appointment, please have your GP send them in prior or bring copies with you to the appointment.

Where are Dr Brown’s consulting rooms located?

Dr Brown consults with patients from Hobart Women’s Specialists in Hobart City, Calvary consulting suites in North Hobart and in Launceston, at the Bubble.

Fees & Payments

Please contact the reception to discuss the fees of your upcoming appointment.  Additional fees may be included if any other gynaecological procedures are performed on the day ie colposcopy, mirena etc. 

Running on time

If you are unable to attend or running late, please contact the receptionist and let them know as early as possible.  We will do our best to reschedule or adjust your appointment time for your convenience.
