Fibroid Surgery (Myomectomy)

Myomectomy is a surgical procedure to remove the fibroids, without removing the uterus. This is offered to women who have not yet completed their families and would like to preserve the uterus for future pregnancies. There are different ways of performing a myomectomy:

• Hysteroscopic resection of fibroid (hysteroscopic myomectomy)

• Open abdominal myomectomy

• Laparoscopic (keyhole) or robotic myomectomy
